-
- So what does that have to do with how USR implements their
- version of the V34 protocol? I was told by a Supra tech that
- USR is famous for "bending" the rules so that they can claim
- higher throughput between two USR modems. This "bending"
- also makes it more difficult for other modems to connect to
- the USRs.
-
- Ever since my FLASHROM was upgraded I have fewer instances
- of trouble while connecting to USR modems. On a side note, I
- never did like the "alarm clock" styling of the Sportsters.
- :-)
-
- I don't claim to be a modem guru, I'm just repeating what I
- was told by someone who knows more than I. :-)
